Counter Strike: Source is a modern combat terrorist versus counter-terrorist shooter. The two main match types in this game are hostage rescue and bombing. In hostage rescue a team of counter-terrorists must move into a building controlled by the terrorists and rescue four hostages or kill all of the terrorists while the terrorist must stop the counter-terrorists from saving the hostages by keeping them until time runs out or by killing all of the counter-terrorists. In bombing a team of terrorists try to plant a bomb in one of two areas or kill all the counter-terrorists, and the counter-terrorists have to either protect the two bombing areas or kill all of the terrorists.
