Sim City 2000 Network Edition

So yea anyone know how to get this fucker working? I've been trying to get this running on win98 through VMware, But i have been having issues setting it up so i connect through lan.

Any thoughts?

Fuck man that UI looks like some sort of "Pro Edition" of the original Sim City 2000. Nice video.

I'll try it through Virtual Box as an alternative. I bet this would be kick ass online, like OpenTTD.

So Mr. Fapking and I had a game of Network Edition going. View fullsize for full-on gaming goodness. ;)

Once you get passed the slightly different interface, it's a really enjoyable experience having more than one person building a city with you, especially if you dig Sim City 2000... which I do! It's very reminiscent of OpenTTD.

Yes I'm playing using XP here. Be warned you can only join games under Windows XP... it crashes otherwise.

This is a legitimately interesting looking Maxis game. I loved Sim City 2000 back in the day and would be so down for throwing back a few beers and putting up a city with some buddies.

I am setting up a server in Windows95. Only Windows95 with TCP networking can join. IP address is 47.200.208.236. I will be working on this from today at 6pm till Monday.
