Finally planning a LAN can be easy!
At PlantheLan.com we take all the hard work out of planning your own LAN, but still leave you in charge!
You decide:
-Where your LAN is (If you are renting out a venue then a % of everyones entry fee goes towards this. So your costs are covered)
-When your LAN is
-Public or Private
-What the minimum and maximum amount of people is
-If there is an entry fee (Entry fees are for prizes)
-What games you play
-Literally everything is left in your hands to decide!
We just ensure that you don't forget anything and that everything goes according to plan! If you are having an entry fee we take care of the prizes. Everything will get shipped to your door step in time for the LAN. Once your LAN gets the minimum amount of players we send out confirmation emails to let everyone know that the LAN is on 100%.
Make sure you sign up to our email list so that you get notified as soon as we go live!

Awesome squeek! Help us spread the word.
Thanks gnat us as well. We are actually just having in the process of having our logo designed as well. Were trying to make this as big as we can make it; because of our passion for LANs.
Any support you could throw our way would be greatly appreciated. I tried editing the Sponsor List page with putting us on there. I was wondering if you would be able to "approve" it for us.
For updates I will make sure I keep posting on here to keep everyone filled in on our progress and keep the excitement up. Share the idea with friends and fellow gamer's, so they can get excited with us.
Thanks again;

Since we have been asked this several times already. I thought that I would share the answer with everyone on here:
Q: Can you tell us how you plan on differing from other sites like Wootevents?
A: Websites like Wootevents are good, but they focus on notifying people of existing LANs . At Plan the Lan we offer a service that makes hosting LANs easier. We take care of collecting entrance fees, providing prizes payed for by the entrance fees, LAN invites, min and max amount of people you would like to attend and more. The host gets to choose and decide on everything from options in our web application when they host a LAN. For entry fee LANs the payment process will be very similar to Kick Starter. Once the min amount of players have signed up, there will be a confirmation email that goes out to all players letting them know that the LAN is 100% go ahead. This is going to be a website that is used worldwide. We already have interest from people in the UK and all over the United States. Our main goal is to make it easier for people to host and plan LANs; in hopes that LANs become more popular vs. dying off.
Picture this: You create a LAN on www.planthelan.com. You set the minimum amount of people to attend to be 20 people with an entrance fee of $10. You invite 20 of your friends from the website and they all receive emails inviting them to the LAN. With 20 people paying $10 each you now have enough money coming in to select the Custom T-shirt prize package option on our site. Your friends all pay by credit card through the site and when the 20th person pays everyone is notified that the LAN is happening for sure and they receive an email requesting their gamer tag which will be printed on their custom T-shirt. The T-shirts are mailed to the Host by us and then the host gives them out at the LAN.
Keep the questions and suggestions coming.
Thanks again;

Where's the beta?
It is the end of September and we're afraid we don't yet have a beta for you to play with. Our product is not yet ready to be released. However, we would like to give you a taste so here is a link to a video of us using a very basic version of the Plan the LAN application: Beta Video
Even though it has not yet been released to the masses, we will be releasing it to a LAN party hosting group in Victoria, BC so that we can work closely with them on improving our product and building the most useful tools for hosting a LAN party. At this time, our focus is on helping big LAN centres and providing them with the tools they need to organize and run medium to large sized LAN parties.
If you would like access to the beta and are running medium to large sized LAN parties please contact us at info@planthelan.com
Photos and feedback of Plan the LAN being used at actual LAN parties soon to come!
