LAN and Console Party organized by Newcastle University Anime Club
Event Details
Facebook Event Page: https://www.facebook.com/events/727897050580162/ Zlan is the end of year lan party that the Newcastle University Anime Club hosts at the University of Newcastle. Zlan is a non for profit event, with any profits from the event going into the funding of future Zlan events. Zlan was first held in 2010 as a tribute to the old local area network parties that used to take place on a regular basis at the university thanks to the video games club. With an attendance over 100 hardcore gamers and international sponsors, it was a epic weekend (for the original Zlan website, please click here). 2013 saw the successful return of Zlan. With 108 people attending over three massive days at the university, major sponsors including NETGEAR, Madman Entertainment and Redbull, interest in Zlan party and the Newcastle University Anime Club had been reignited. The university student body and its support services like UoN services were keen to make Zlan a yearly event. The event returned again in 2014 and smashed previous attendance records, with 130 people attending. So now NUAC is proud to present Zlan for 2015.
