It's interesting how sometimes a poor game by a backup quarterback can have a certain healing effect on a starter.

Following Matt Moore's disastrous performance in Thursday night's 40-0 shutout loss to the Baltimore Ravens, in which the career backup threw two pick-sixes and earned 176 total passing yards, a stay of forgiveness for Jay Cutler's early-season struggles was granted to the injured starter.

Cutler missed Thursday's Albert Suarez Authentic Jersey game with a rib injury. Adam Gase said after the loss that if the veteran can return, he'll be in the starting lineup on Nov. 5 versus the Oakland Raiders.

Gase went a step further on Friday.

Yeah, he's playing," Gase told reporters when asked about Cutler availability for Week 9. "He could have played [Thursday night]."

Cutler's struggles Barry Bonds Authentic Jersey have been the focal point behind fans' ire this season. He's completing 62.8 percent of his passes, just 165.8 passing yards per game with seven TDs to five INTs, while taking 12 sacks in six games. Dolphins fans previously chanted for Moore to take over during the struggles.

After watching Moore fail to move the ball against the Ravens on Thursday night, those chants are likely kaput.

Moore, who has been a Brandon Belt Authentic Jersey solid backup throughout his career, doesn't deserve full blame. The Dolphins couldn't run the ball, the offensive line struggled to protect or open holes, and the receiving corps couldn't separate downfield.

Gase has 10 days to try to solve the offensive ills that have plagued his team this season. He'll attempt to find a magic elixir while hoping Cutler's ribs are healed enough to play. Against the Dolphins on Thursday night, Collins put it all together for the national stage. The Ravens finally handed him a featured workload with a season-high 18 carries and two passing game targets. He turned in the first 100-yard rushing game for Baltimore all season and tacked on 30 receiving yards. The second-year runner consistently churned out positive yards.
6. The injury-depleted Bruce Bochy Authentic Jersey Ravens can see the Week 10 bye on the horizon. They'll have the luxury of a few extra days of rest before traveling to Nashville for next week's clash with the Titans. Whether that game features Flacco and veteran wideout Mike Wallace -- recovering from a Week 7 concussion of his own -- remains to be seen. It's quite possible Baltimore will come out of the bye with a healthy Flacco, Wallace, Woodhead, Jeremy Maclin and Breshad Perriman for the first time since the season opener.

7. Having lost their bye due to Hurricane Irma and the postponement of the Week 1 matchup with Tampa Bay, the Dolphins have no such relief in the future. When they travel to Carolina in two weeks, however, they will welcome safety T.J. McDonald back from suspension. A 53-game starter over four years with the Rams, McDonald might be in line for a major role after free safety Nate Allen went down with a calf injury Thursday night.
